Alys Soswiz is a 20-something woman from Seattle. Raised and educated in this city, she lived a rather peaceful childhood, without any particular problems or stories. A normal student, with no specialties, average grades and a small group of friends. Alys' life was not very interesting until she obtained her high school diploma in a Seattle school. Her life took a different turn when she decided to move to France to begin medical school at a major university in Aix-En-Provence. For two years of her life, she learned French and studied medicine in a university that mixed international and French students. The opportunity for Alys to study in France rather than in the US was quite simple. She had a brother living there with his wife, and she wanted to get closer to him and discover the culture and the country. Moreover, France was reputed to be a very good country to learn the paramedical profession. Thanks to her good grades during her schooling and a mention in her high school diploma, she did not have much trouble being accepted into the international program. The program was recommended by her biology teacher when she was still in high school.
This experience was most rewarding for her until the third year of her degree when a serious event occurred. The death of her father prevented her from continuing her studies in France, and forced her to return to Seattle to complete her third year and graduate with her paramedic degree. Her father unfortunately died of a cancer that he had been fighting for several years. The reason why she could not return to France to resume her studies was due to the mental health of her family in Seattle. After her mother's death, she could not go back to France and leave her alone in Seattle after her father's death. For this reason, she decided to stay.
Some time after graduation, after tensions and inheritance issues were discussed within her family, she decided to move to Los Santos. A large city with massive jobs for her degree at very attractive salaries. That's why she sent an application, which was quickly accepted by the Los Santos Fire Department. The attractiveness, but also the desire to escape again after spending an entire year helping her mother overcome the ordeal of her husband's death gave her every desire to leave for Los Santos. A city where salaries and life were different. Much different than what she knew in Seattle.
It was there that the real adventure began. She trained in an academy not as a simple EMS, but as an ALS Firefighter. Fascinated by the fire profession, she finally did not apply for the ALS paramedic branch of the department, but rather for the Firefighters at Station 3 in Davis.
After two long years of service in this station, she finally decided to stop her career to consider a professional reconversion following numerous discussions with fellow Fire Marshals. I am now passionate about the Firefighter profession and at the same time about the investigation profession. Having worked for more than two years directly in the fire trades and in coordination with the LSPD, LSSD and SFM units, she decided to turn to it after a recruitment campaign in her department. After the intervention of many SFM units, she thought she was ready to join. Motivated by her interventions and this openness to recruiting, wanting a change of horizon, this led her to submit a letter of resignation following a long discussion with a member of the States Fire Marshal. During the resignation, she prepared the requirements to enter the profession. She followed trainings in order to pass the future academy.
She prepared her entry into the department's branch for many months, waiting for the opening of the recruitment process to submit her application at the age of 25.
