My character was born in Grape Seed, San Andreas in 1992. He grew up with one older brother and both parents. His upbringing was average to slightly low income, with his father owning a potato farm that was handed down to him from his father, Nicholas' grandfather. While growing up, working on the farm while going to school, Nicholas faced the typical bullying in school from grade 6 till he graduated high school. This personally effected him mentally and has caused him to be a little 'off' in social gatherings, as speaking and trusting people is now hard for him. He often shy's away and has a hard time making eye contact with people. With his social awkwardness in check, he sometimes misspeaks when feeling the pressure of those around him. He wasn't sure what to do with his life in terms of a career and with very little social skills, he thought he would go down the rabbit hole of becoming a full time farmer like his father, and his fathers father. He managed to branch away from the families farm and got a job at a local grocery store, stocking shelves and general duties. After graduation high school with not the best grades, he didn't have much ambition or drive to enter any specific job, but knew he had to work with his hands. He spent the better part of three years at the grocery store until he was able to find a job working construction as a laborer. This gave Nicholas a bit of the motivation he needed in his life, as stocking shelves just wasn't giving him the drive he needed after having worked alongside his father on their farm for most of his youth. After a year of being a general laborer and working alongside many of the other trades, including electricians, pipe fitters, drywallers, and so on -- He found an interest in the fire protection industry, based on the type of work they do and how much more hands on it seemed with having to lift heavy pipe, work in awkward positions, and getting their hands dirty. After working in the construction industry for a year, he made a few contacts in which he used to get himself a job in the fire protection industry, with the company, Star Fire Sprinklers. He went through the 4 year apprenticeship and obtained his journeyman ticket, and has now been a journeyman in the trade for 3 years. As he's getting older, now being 30, he's looking for something to relief some of the pressures that's being endured on his body due to all that heavy lifting that he once loved. He saw that the San Andreas State Fire Marshal's were hiring, and having experience in the industry, he figured he would give it a shot.
