4.9 Please provide your character's background story:- Aiden signed up to work for the Sheriff's Department due to coming from a family filled with law enforcement officers, most notably his father reaching the humble rank of Sergeant in Olympic Station. Aiden's father brought him up to follow in his foot steps and to take an active role in keeping the streets safe. After passing the academy, Aiden became disillusioned in his stint in working in a custody setting within Twin Towers Correctional Facility due to the seemingly hopeless situation of ensuring inmate safety. From inmate overcrowding, and budget cuts leading to reduced staffing numbers in the jail, Aiden felt unsafe in his job in the Sheriff's Department and aimed to pursue other career paths, much to the chagrin of his father.
After Aiden resigned from the Sheriff's Department, he sent out a flurry of applications to potentially every job in the city. Needless to say, as job hunting is a numbers game, Aiden only received job offers back from menial roles such as working in a Primark part time, or working as a English tutor for Hispanic and Dutch children. Aiden believed himself better than these roles, and sought out vacancies in other law enforcement roles, stumbling upon the State Fire Marshals. After speaking with a recruiter, and taking his own time in researching the work of the Marshal's, he became fascinated with the role and believed that it'd be a good fit for his particular set of skills. He fully understands that the transition back into a law enforcement and investigative role will be difficult but Aiden is willing and fully prepared to take the first step in order to help serve the community.
