2.3 Please provide reasoning on why you would like to transfer in to the State Fire Marshals:
- After living in Las Vegas for most of my life, I've become slightly burnt out with doing the same thing every day and seeing the same people. My wife recently took a job in San Andreas working for a big corporation, which prompted me to look for employment in the great city of San Andreas. The San Andreas State Fire Marshals quickly caught my eye and became my number one choice for possible employment. I've worked previously as a liaison officer with Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, assisting in scene cleanup and detection of arson. While I don't have any formal arson investigation training, I've gained an interest in arson investigation and the characteristics of arson as a whole. I've met with a few employees of the San Andreas State Fire Marshals already, and I've been blown away by the professionalism and the nature of the job here in San Andreas.
I know I possess the skills that would make me vital for the San Andreas State Fire Marshals. I have years of experience as a Police Officer, and years of assisting in an investigatory capacity. I know that San Andreas has an issue with arsonists and fires as a whole, especially up north in the unincorporated areas, and I want to help combat that the best way I can. If given the opportunity for employment with the State Fire Marshals, I know I would be competent and someone that the new guys could look up to, as I have more than seven years of experience in law enforcement.

4.9 Please provide your character's background story:- Michael Sheffield was born July 8th, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada to John and Ashley Sheffield. His father was hard working, blue collar guy, who spent at least fifty hours a week working at the steel plant to provide for the rest of his family. His mother, Ashley was a stay at home mom, who was always occupied with Michael and his two brothers and one sister. Michael is the middle child of the family, and never received any special treatment from his parents, unlike his oldest brother, John Jr. Michael's family was not rich by any means, but far from poor, due to John's constant overtime worked. Michael played football growing up and was always easy going, having no problems with making friends in school. However, Michael had problems keeping up grades in high-school due to having to take care of his younger siblings at home, leaving him little time for studying.
After finishing high school, Michael decided not to go to college due to his poor grades, and instead worked with his dad at the steel plant. He worked long hours like his dad, but the physical labor kept him in great shape. After a few years of working at the plant, Michael knew he needed better for himself, and decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. Michael had always idolized police officers and that no nonsense attitude that they have. Michael also felt a duty to serve, and care for others, as he helped raise his younger siblings growing up. It took Michael three tries, but he eventually was hired by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2013. Michael almost failed the academy due his poor performances on the written tests, but he put in the extra work, eventually leading to graduating the academy at the middle of his class.
Michael eventually met his current wife, Kelly, a records clerk for the LVMPD during his tenure as a police officer. Michael however worked a lot of overtime like his father, not leaving enough time for his wife. They would argue more than the average couple, and Michael began to develop a slight drinking problem. After going to counseling with his wife, they decided that it was probably best to leave Las Vegas and try something new. They both settled on San Andreas after Kelly found a job working for a big office firm. Michael then followed suit by applying to the San Andreas Fire Marshals, deciding to end his career working for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
