4.9 Please provide your character's background story:- Troy Mercado, born in the year 1993, was raised in San Fierro by his single mother. He was the eldest son in the family since he had a sister who was two years younger than him. Troy grew up in a low-income neighborhood within the Bay Area. He has lived in a chaotic family where arguments between his parents were a usual thing. Troy's father left the household when Troy was six years old, letting his son grow up fatherless and under the custody of an abusive mother. During Troy's youth, he was heavily influenced by his local gang. The activities that the local gang members were doing while being interested in working as an LEO. However, Troy was mature enough to not join the local gang and focus on his studies despite dealing with a few obstacles such as poverty. He had his first job at the age of 16 as a dishwasher in order to help his mother pay the bills.
As he has turned 18 years old, he moved out of his household to live on his college campus. He studied psychology for four years before earning a bachelor's degree. Troy was still struggling with his finances and he has to work at least forty hours a week to pay for each college session. He considered joining the San Fierro Police Department after graduation but, he changed his opinion as he didn't like the department for some reason. He moved to Del Perro in order to visit his father after cutting off contact with his mother for being abusive. He started his application in order to attend SAPR's law enforcement academy while working as a security guard. The hiring process was stressful and felt endless for Troy, he has been accepted six months later after he posted his application and went through the various examinations. At the age of 23, Troy joined the academy and started his journey as a recruit within the SAPR.
Almost a year after, he graduated from the academy and received his POST certification. He started his new job as a probationary ranger the week after his graduation. Troy went through the field training program and was eligible for a promotion to the next rank. However, he failed to stay calm during a tough situation. In fact, he lost his temper to a middle-aged woman who was disrespectful towards him and Troy ended up misbehaving as a law enforcement officer. This situation led to the termination of Troy's employment.
Troy has been jobless for several weeks before earning a position at West Eclipse Boulevard Investigation Co. as a private investigator. He would earn around sixty thousand dollars a year which wasn't enough for him. He worked at that company for three years before sending his application in order to re-instate to the department where he used to work. As soon as he had the job offer, he left the investigation company for the SAPR. Troy went through the last phase of the field training program which lasted a month. However, he ended up failing the program for not performing properly during the patrols.
Troy is now unemployed for a few weeks and is collecting unemployment benefits from the government. He is sending multiple applications to various departments around Los Santos and San Fierro County, hoping to pursue his career as a law enforcement officer.
