2.3 Please provide reasoning on why you would like to transfer in to the State Fire Marshals:
- I find the State Fire Marshals Office a very interesting agency. Their devotion and focus on arson and fire prevention, and by extent, protection of lives and property is noble. Arson is one of the most heinous crimes, as well as one of the hardest to solve. It can be used to dispose of evidence, bodies, or even as revenge against someone, and in a city where people are shot over words, I have no doubt that plenty of houses and businesses are burned down for equal or less.
I'd like to assist in investigating and catching arsonists, as well as preventing fires from starting in the first place. I believe I can bring a unqiue perspective, as well as a POST certification that's valid for another few years.

4.9 Please provide your character's background story:- Piper was born to a pair of loving parents, a tale that wouldn't last long. She grew up up and to kindergarten with a relatively normal childhood, her father was a reserve corpsman for the national guard, and her mother worked retail. She was taught the values of discipline, responsibility, and respect. She grew into a teen with these core values in mind. When she was 14, her mother abandoned the family, leaving her father single and distraught. He put on a facade for Piper, acting as if he was still strong enough to deal with it, but inside, he was torn.
He'd grow to resent this choice, but it worked temporarily, and temporary fixes always look the best in the short-term.
Piper passed through most of Middle School with no issues, infact, she didn't have much of anything. No friends, no real hobbies, and no ambition for her work. She moved onto highschool with these same issues, not helped by her new lack of a mother.
Her father was able to push her to joining the girl scouts in her second year, and through the club, she made friends and reinforced the values her father had taught her from a young age. When she graduated highschool, she decided to pursue a career in law Enforcement, attending USLA to pursue a degree in Criminal Law. She dropped out on a few months in after a wishful applicant to the LSPD was accepted, despite her lack of graduating.
She graduated police academy later that year, being assigned to Mission Row Statio, Patrol 4. A year later, she'd be promoted to a Police Officer II, continuing her duties as a beat cop for a good few years before she decided she needed a change. Throughout her options, she found SFM to be one of the most interesting, as they specialised in a very specific type of crimefighting, that of arson prevention and investigation. She believed SFM to be one of the most potentially fulfilling agencies she could apply to, and as such, finds herself sitting in her apartment, typing up her application on her laptop at 3am.
