Alta Street Junkyard Statement
La Puerta, Los Santos - At approximately 22:46 on the 3rd December 2023, SANFIRE Main control received an inter departmental request from the Los Santos Police Department reporting a structural fire at a property inside the Alta Junkyard.
On arrival, Deputy Fire Marshals approached the scene to find firefighters engaging in fire suppression efforts of a small warehouse on the premises. Perimeter was already established by the Los Santos Police Department.
Knockdown was declared at 22:49 and the scene was handed over to San Fire for preliminary investigation during which an AD Canine was also utilised. With accelerant present which would have made fire suppression attempts more difficult. Several articles were removed from the scene with units revisiting the area after reports of a vehicle lingering on the premises.
At this time, San Fire can confirm foulplay was involved. However, due to on-going investigation cannot comment further at this time.
