[SHOW]
Raised in Illinois, Chicago by a mother working as a public servant for Illinois DCFS and a father working as a firefighter, Trent was able to have an insight of two distinct perspectives regarding the goals someone should set for themselves in order to strive for a better future. On one hand, his father's perspective was ingrained with determination, realism, practicality and discipline, while on the other, his mother enthusiastically embraced the necessity for someone to make their own decisions in order to attain what others would consider success.

From an early age, Trent was deeply fascinated by two things: his father's profession and the thought of becoming a peace officer. His father's amazing tales fueled his curiosity and aided in his quest to learn both the hazards and the positive aspects of his profession. One story that really resonated with him was about his father responding to an arson call that struck fear into his neighborhood. This is the first time he learned about the significance of the work performed by Fire Marshals. Small Trent was astounded to learn about the existence of officers that would solely investigate fires and catch arsonists specifically. He looked up to them as heroes and aspired to be one of them in the future.

At his mother's urgings, and because he did not know exactly what he wanted to do in his next life chapter, he attended the School of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago to earn a bachelor and master's degree in social work. His studies gave him a firm grasp on social dynamics, human behavior, and the need of developing solutions in order to asses certain social problems, even though his father wasn't too fond of the subject his son chose. In order to comprehend the wider effects of major events on people's lives and society, he actively participated in research initiatives focusing mainly on community safety. As the years went by, Trent put his dreams aside, focused on his studies and joined the DCFS.

He soon came to the realization that being a social worker was not his calling, so he left his hometown and settled in Los Santos, San Andreas in order to start fresh. He began contemplating as to what would be the best way to apply the knowledge and passion he built over the years. A way of which both his mother and his father would be proud. It was by pure coincidence that he linked up with an old friend that is currently working for the Los Santos Police Department and, while hearing out his dilemma, suggested he should give the Office of the San Fire Marshal a quick search on the internet, and hand in an application during one of the recruitment drives. Trent was immediately intrigued, especially as the old stories his father used to tell him before sleep started lingering back in his mind, and upon exploring the career opportunities and requirements, he felt what could be described like a spark, a connection to the duties and responsibilities it entailed.
