El Burro Heights Brush Fire Statement

El Burro Heights, Los Santos - At approximately 21:40 on the 21st November 2023, SANFIRE Main control registered a call for service regarding a Brush fire located in a field of brushland on Labor Place, El Burro Heights.

On arrival, Deputy Fire Marshals approached the scene to find a brush fire that was working its way to the eastern side of the field towards several oil riggers. Establishing a perimeter in and evacuated the immediate area due to the risk of explosion.

The Los Santos Fire Department declared knockdown at 22:17 with deputies moving in for preliminary investigation, remaining on the scene for some time to investigate the field, tanker and oil rigger itself.

During Preliminary investigation, Deputy Fire Marshals found evidence of intentional fire setting after examining burn patterns of the field and the surrounding area. While the brushland in close proximity has sustained damage, at this time, the fuel tank on the scene has been deemed safe and has not been damaged. It is not thought that the fire will impact the operations of oil drilling in the local area. However, this will be at the discretion of the operators of the field.

At this time, San Fire can confirm foul play was involved and the incident has been referred for further inquiry and investigation. However, due to ongoing investigation cannot comment further at this time.
