SAN FIRE Visits ULSA
A large part of Fire Prevention is education and passing on knowledge in the form of community outreach, that's why on Wednesday, SAN FIRE stopped by the University of Los Santos, San Andreas (ULSA) to deliver a lecture on the work that San Fire does in the local community of Los Santos County to investigate and prevent arsons.
Introduced by ULSA's own Tassia Lowe, deputies Caballero, Juarez, Arias, and A. Voss spoke to a classroom of eager ULSA students about the process undertaken during a typical fire and subsequent arson investigation from the period of assisting the Los Santos Fire Department with scene security, to the meticulous scene investigations for every detail to undercover the truth of sometimes devastating fires in the local community.
Arson investigation has indeed evolved over the years to include some of the most high-tech equipment and techniques that capture the smallest of details. But, today was back to basics with the core of how fires are determined to be accidental or arson, basics in equipment, ways of gathering information, and more.
"San Fire's Office of the State Fire Marshal has enjoyed a long and prosperous relationship with the University of Los Santos San Andreas. Yesterday's collaboration between the Training Bureau and the university was a testament to that. We would like to extend our gratitude to Miss Tassia Lowe for her kind invitation and express how humbled we were by the student's attendance and continued interest in the work that San Fire does within the local community. Hopefully, all of their questions were answered!
We are eager to continue to grow our relations with ULSA, so we can enjoy a future of working together. We are very much looking forward to visiting the university again in the future." said the SAN FIRE Training Bureau regarding the lecture.
Deputy S. Arias takes to the podium to speak with students
Students had an opportunity to gain valuable insight into the day-to-day investigative work that SAN FIRE does - With many taking the opportunity to ask questions to the talking Deputy Fire Marshals as well as talk to them about the work they do in ensuring San Andreas is safe with Deputy Fire Marshals knowledge taking the front row with plenty of questions asked, myths quashed and informative answers to the most intrigued of students. Public Information Officers were also on hand to assist in question-taking with other questions unrelated to arson investigation, or questions regarding our Public Relations intern program.
SAN FIRE would like to extend its thanks to the University of Los Santos San Andreas (ULSA) for the invitation to visit their prosperous campus and the students who were in attendance for being welcoming to our Deputy Fire Marshals. We look forward to a long prosperous relationship with the local university and other educational institutes to assist us with Fire Prevention education.
