Introducing the new SAN FIRE Paleto Station
A New year has been full of developments, from new fleet additions to opening a new station in Paleto Bay, which was previously used by the State Parks opposite the Los Santos Fire Department's old Station One.
Opened Saturday with a tour led by Division Chiefs Luke Barrett and Vincenzo Calvani, attendees were treated to a glimpse inside the new station, retrofitted with a new layout - The station is almost indistinguishable from its roots, with a fresh coat of paint and new furniture, the station is kitted out to suit any Deputy Fire Marshal's needs.
The tour began in the reception area of the new station, with Deputy Fire Marshals joined by Deputies of the Los Santos Sheriff's Department's Parks Bureau also in attendance. The station boasts a spacious open office space with two more private, segregated offices as its main area as well as, a kitchen, a staff gym, holding cells, an evidence locker, and a smaller canine kennel.
Clockwise: Reception, Office Space, Gym Space, Canine Kennels
SAN FIRE's Director Liam Madison made an appearance to greet agency partners and Deputy Fire Marshals alike, answering any questions individuals had regarding the plans for the new station and no doubt shedding some light on county operations going forward after the relocation from Grapeseed.
"Today, we proudly opened our brand-new station in Paleto. This facility features the latest technology, a gym, and proper break areas to ensure our staff can perform efficiently and stay healthy. The advanced communications center will enhance our response times and operational effectiveness. Additionally, this new station will help us engage more with the county community through public education and events. We are excited about the benefits this will bring to both our team and the residents we serve. " - Said Division Chief Vincenzo Calvani, who oversaw the construction process of the station.
No doubt with the reintroduction of Foresters and the Community Wildfire Preparedness and Mitigation, the Paleto Station will be all they need to provide a presence within the county with their operations, the Paleto forest and larger Chiliad State Wilderness being an area at higher risk than most. But, the new additional certainly paves the way for SAN FIRE's relations with the local community of Paleto Bay and Los Santos Sheriff's Department's Parks Bureau.
